Manhole impact tester – FWIMAN 2500

The Bayerteq Falling Weigh Impact tester for Manholes has been developed according to EN 13598-2 and equivalent Standards to subject a manhole base and wall to impact blows with a metal weight.

The weight with a mass of 1.0 Kg and a radius of 50mm is released from a height of 2,5 meters on or the center of the channel in the base or on the wall of the manhole.

The FWIMAN is equipped with a build in Busch vacuum pump which enables to move the falling weight to the top of the tower. The use of a vacuum system is an efficient and a maintenance low solution as the mechanical movements are kept to a minimum.

As per Standards the device is equipped with an anti-rebound system which automatically catches the weight to prevent the weight bouncing on the sample.

Further the device is equipped with photocells to measure the actual falling speed of the weight and with a system which automatically guides the tower to position 50mm above the channel in the base of the manhole to ensure a correct position to impact.

After the test the weight is automatically lifted to its original position, ready to strike again.

The Impact Tester can be operated from both the SIEMENS HTMI and from your Pc.

As per Standards the tower is designed to ensure an actual falling speed of minimum 95% of the theoretical falling speed.
