UTM SA series

New model

The Universal Testing Machine SA series represent the latest technology in UTM’s for the plastic industry. Our UTM is specifically designed to evaluate the mechanical properties of plastic pipe systems. It is designed to test a wide range of parameters, including tensile modulus, bending modulus, compression modulus, yield strength, tensile strength, fracture strength, elongation at break, compressive stress, compressive strain, shear, peel, bracing, tearing, and penetration.

The device has been designed according to the following Standards: ISO 527-2019, ISO-37, ISO 6259-3, ISO 604-2002, ISO 178-2019, ISO 1209-2007, ASTM D 638-2008, and the equivalent.

This versatile machine is ideal for analyzing and inspecting engineering plastics, reinforced nylon, modified plastics, plastic profiles, pipes, sheets, films, and other related materials.

Incorporating advanced technology and precision engineering, the SA series features the powerful BT measurement and control software. This combination ensures the instrument offers high rigidity, precision, intelligent sensing, multifunctionality, and efficiency, all while being user-friendly and convenient.

The system is equipped with a high-precision servo control system, precision-ground ball screws, and a precision planetary reducer, ensuring precise control of the electronic loading system.

The UTM comes with a large screen but is also pc connected for data storage and operations. The screen can be adjusted in height and in angle for ease of operation for all users.

The first dual-gratings Multiple Strain Measurement System

Based on the traditional extensometer; a high-precision dual gratings extensometer has launched real-time test date. Beside elastic modulus the device also obtains strain at yield, strain at break etc.

  • Superior Data Acquisition: The system’s sensor channel bandwidth exceeds 9.2Hz, ensuring that no detail is missed during the material testing process.

Beside traditional grippers we also offer pneumatic grippers.

  • Versatile Configuration Options: The system can be equipped with a range of extensometers, including innovative composite extensometers, fully automatic extensometers, large deformation extensometers, axial and radial small deformation extensometers, and deflection extensometers. Additionally, various testing fixtures are available.
  • Comprehensive Performance Testing: Leveraging the software’s powerful scalability, the system can perform a wide array of tests such as tensile, compression, bending, ring stiffness, ring flexibility, flattening, shearing, peeling, creep, and durability assessments.
  • Environmental Testing Capabilities: Equipped with a high and low-temperature environmental test chamber, the system can conduct mechanical performance tests under specific environmental conditions.
  • Flexible Control Methods: The system supports multiple control modes, including constant force, constant displacement, constant deformation, constant stress rate, and constant strain rate, accommodating diverse testing requirements.

Efficient and Convenient Operation:

  • Multifunctional Handle and Rocker-Type Control: Allows for precise adjustment of the beam position, including lifting and lowering. It also enables automatic positioning of the fixture’s initial position, fine adjustment of initial force after sample clamping, and control of vehicle return, reset, start, and stop functions.
  • Comprehensive Control Features: The handle also manages the operation of the extensometer arm, and clamp opening and closing, along with various experimental or control parameter settings.
  • Visual Data Display: The force value, displacement, deformation, and other experimental data are displayed visually, providing clear insights during the testing process.
  • Onboard Measurement Calibration: The system supports measurement calibration directly on the machine, eliminating the need for an external computer.
    Efficient and Convenient Testing
  • 18.5″ High-Definition Touchscreen: The system utilizes an industrial-grade tablet computer with a high-definition 18.5″ touchscreen, ensuring smooth operation. Paired with a multifunctional handle, it supports a navigation-style interface for efficient and convenient testing.

Composite Extensometer

  • Advanced Dual-Grating Extensometer: Building on the sliding line extensometer, this high-precision dual-grating extensometer is designed for continuous measurement during testing. It automatically switches between modes to capture elastic modulus and stress/strain data before and after yield, without the need to replace the sample.
  • Exceptional Accuracy: The extensometer boasts accuracy better than 1 µm and can measure deformations up to 900 mm or more.
  • Automated Switching: After collecting elastic modulus data, the digital extensometer’s measuring arm automatically disengages from the chuck, completing the switching process seamlessly.

Powerful Software Functionality

  • BT Software: A concise, powerful, and efficient software suite with strong scalability. It includes an extensive library of test methods compliant with commonly used standards such as ISO, GB/T, ASTM, and EN.
  • Flexible Experiment Design: The software features a fully open architecture with an experimental scheme design function, allowing users to design experimental processes according to their specific needs, supporting any material testing and data analysis.
  • User-Friendly Interface: The wizard-style experimental operation method within the BT system is easy to learn and use.
  • Comprehensive Data Management: The software supports multi-channel data display, multi-group experimental curve drawing, data processing, result editing, exporting, and printing.
