Bayerteq Thermo Baths Standards and Application

The Bayerteq thermo baths are specifically engineered for conditioning and immersion testing of thermoplastic pipes and fittings. They are designed and manufactured in full compliance with ISO 1167, ASTM D1598, ASTM D1599, and equivalent international standards.

These standards define the procedures for hydrostatic pressure testing, where pipe samples are subjected to internal pressure while conditioned in water at controlled temperatures. Such testing verifies the long-term strength, structural integrity, and safety of plastic pipe systems. By adhering to these standards, Bayerteq thermo baths ensure accurate, reliable, and reproducible test results, supporting both certification requirements and quality control in production environments.

Construction and Materials

Every Bayerteq thermo bath is manufactured from high-grade stainless steel (AISI 304 or AISI 316), providing outstanding durability, corrosion resistance, and long service life under continuous operation.

Double thermal insulation minimizes energy consumption. Even at 95 °C, the outer lid surface remains at room temperature, ensuring operator safety and reducing power consumption by more than 70%.

A steam collection system prevents heat loss and retains vapors within the bath, safeguarding personnel and improving energy efficiency.

Temperature Control and Accuracy

Each bath is equipped with a precision temperature control cabinet that automatically regulates both the temperature and the water level in the tank.

Temperature range: 20 – 95 °C

Temperature accuracy: ±1%

Temperature uniformity: ±1%

To ensure operational safety, the baths feature a dedicated over-temperature protection circuit. This independent safety system guarantees reliable heater performance even in the event of a fault.

Bayerteq thermo baths are designed with multiple safety layers:

Liquid level monitoring devices automatically prevent operation if water levels fall outside the set range.

Lid Systems: FL and SL Series

To accommodate different applications, Bayerteq offers two lid configurations:

FL Series (Foldable Lid): Designed for large-dimension baths, the foldable lid allows partial opening. Operation is pneumatically controlled via a front-mounted switch for safe and convenient access.

SL Series (Single Lid): Features a single pneumatically operated lid for straightforward handling and complete coverage of the bath.
