BT-MFI 550-22 in accordance with BS 2782 Part 7 or equivalent method 720A, ISO 1133, ASTM 1238-13 or equivalent.
It allows for testing the melt mass-flow rate (MFR) and melt volume-flow rate (MVR) Methods A, B, C and D according to the Standards ASTM D1238 and ISO1133, with the additional function of connecting the MFI to a PC with Bayerteq software.
The built-in microprocessor maintains temperature control to within ± 0.2℃, with rapid ramp-up to the set point. Extruded material is automatically cut off by the built-in scraper mechanism at pre-set intervals, controllable to ± 0.1seconds.

Accuracy & Precision
The level of accurate measurement of MFR and MVR data is second to none, while the device has a measuring MVR range up to MVR 3000cm3 / 10min.
The MFI 600SA is equipped with a high precision displacement measurement system with a shift measurement system & displacement sensor which resolution is up to 1um.
Temperature control
With its high capacity hating and precision system, the 600 SA heats up very quickly and has a temp recovery time of max 120 seconds.
The double PID subsection heating method ensures an optimal heat distribution and temperature uniformity inside the oven.
Software functions
- Full color touch screen control &display, with several languages like English, French, German, Italian, etc.
- The 600 SA System recognizes automatically the test scope for ASTM and ISO standard.
- The touchscreen displays several functions of parameter setting; constant temperature control, material cutting, measurement calibration, automatic loading weight, timing, MVR and MFR results.
- The MVR value of the sample at the specified time can be measured in the MVR test mode, and after weighing the sample, the 600 SA system automatically obtains the MFR value, which can be compared with the test results obtained via MFR test mode;
- The 600 SA is equipped with a module to calculate melt density;
- Storage function of test data, up to 1000 items of test results can be saved;
- Test results can also be exported to PC software for edit or save & print out test report.
- The 600 SA is equipped with a Password verification function.
